Hey check it out: Newsweek's Top 1000 High Schools

Sitting at number 26: Lowell High

Apparently Lowell and with a few other schools were left out of the BCS by Newsweek in 2003 because of the way these schools handled their admissions process. Either way, being ranked 26th ain't too bad. Probably would be higher if not for the east coast bias. I don't think any public high school in the West Contra Costa district made the top 1,000,000.
