Messy Danny and I went to see Matrix Revolutions on Wednesday night. We thought there might be a lot of folks at the theater because it was opening night, but I guess all the die-hard fans went to see earlier showings.

When I go to the movies, I never get popcorn for two reasons: 1) I don't like having my hand covered in oil and 2) it's freakin expensive. But every now and then at home, I want some popcorn. (Actually, I'd settle for any kind of food.) Today we were shopping at Albertson's and I was at the popcorn section. I was amazed by the selection. There is butter flavored, light butter, movie theater butter, carmel butter, gourmet butter, honey butter, ultimate butter, and my favorite of them all, blast-o-butter. Unfortunately the Blast-o-Butter was not an Albertson's card item, so I had to settle for the ultimate butter variety.

While shopping, we actually bought butter (not for the popcorn, because it already had ultimate butter). Why do they make unsalted butter? And does unsalted butter work as well as salted butter? Which butter is better? If anyone knows, please tell me. The unsalted butter was on sale, but we felt safer going with the 'regular' butter.

In another shopping related note, we also bought peanut butter. No kidding. We did not get buttermilk. I prefer to make my own buttermilk.
