A lot of people are good at copying and pasting their funny AIM conversations on their blogs. I am not one of those people. The following is a transcript of an actual conversation (where people actually have to talk rather than type) between me and one of my wise-cracking teen youths that at took place a few days ago.

Teen: Let me get a dollar, Cal. I want to get a burger from McDonalds.
(I decided I was going to give him a dollar, but...)
Cal: I only have a five.
Teen: I'll give you your change back. I only need one.
Cal: Kids ask me for money all the time. Why should I give it to you?
Teen: I don't know, man. Come on, I'm hungry.
Cal: So you get a burger, but what do I get out of it?
Teen: The satisfaction fo helping me.
Cal: Not good enough.
Teen: Awwww man. I'll give you a thank you.
Cal: All I get is a thank you?
Teen: All right...a BIG thank you.
(I got 2 dollars and two more BIG thank yous back. He got a value meal after insisting he only wanted a burger.)

I guess today is the official day to give thanks, be we should be giving a BIG thank you to God every day.
