Hockey skating skill level update: Using an old pair of rollerblades, I can now skate well enough that my hockey player rating can change from backup goalie to part-time enforcer. I can skate well enough to chase after a guy and throw a few punches. Those fifth graders never had a chance against me today.
Roller skating with the elementary kids was fun today. A lot of them never skated before, so I tried to help a few of them out. Luis must have fell 40 times during the 3 hours we were there. He was telling me how his elbow started hurting, so I let him borrow one of my wrist guards and it somehow made the pain go away. A little girl named Esmeralda was really scared on the skates, and halfway around our first lap, she fell down and started crying. I thought she was never going to skate again. With a little more help, she managed to do okay later on. A few other kids really struggled at first, and even though they kept falling, they kept on trying and smiling (I even got ice cream for those that tried hard). That's better than some of the older kids in the past weeks, who would just give up and go play the arcades.
Danny is watching The Fellowship of the Rings again right now. I've been having all these strange dreams involving the One Ring lately. The weirdest one was where I snatched the ring from one of my friends while we were at Target. I put on the ring and turned invisible so he couldn't catch me and then I ran to a hotel or something to watch tv. (Yeah, I'm invisible so I go watch tv in a hotel. Told you it was strange) While I was there, I noticed I wasn't invisible anymore. Another guy walks in also wearing the One ring and we talk about how our rings don't work anymore.
