If you watch news on tv, I'm sure you've seen this video of the attack on President Bush.

It reminded me of a scene from one of my favorite spy movies featuring Mike Myers and Liz Hurley.

(There's also a scene from the beginning of the Pam Anderson movie Barb Wire where she uses footwear as a weapon, but since the video is not safe for minors, I won't link it. You'll have to youtube it yourself.)

If anyone ever tries to throw a shoe (or a knife) at me, you would be in Big Trouble because this is what I would do.
