One of the benefits of turning 45 is that you can start to lie about your age.
I've been telling my students I'm 44 years old and I was born in 1963. So to keep consistent with my story, I'm now 45.

Some kids try to pretend they're older than they are, some adults try to pretend they're younger than they are, and then there's people like me who lose track and have to do some math to figure out my age. I mean there's not much difference between being 27 or 29, especially when there are times when I act like I'm 17.
