Recently, I heard an anecdote about faith. A group of people were praying for rain, yet did not bring umbrellas with them. Today, I had a field trip scheduled to Berkeley, so I prayed for it not to rain, yet carried an umbrella in my bag. Despite my apparent lack of faith, the skies were clear all day long.

Another answered prayer: Pedro Feliz is going to the Phillies. I can't believe he is getting $8.5M over 2 years. That means he is getting paid almost $35 for every ground ball out to third or short he makes over the next 2 seasons. I can't imagine how bad he is going to be without steroids.
