From SFgate: A Bay Area couple with two kids can't make it on $50,000 a year

A family of four in the Bay Area with two working adults must earn $77,069, equaling an hourly wage of $18.53, just to pay for basic necessities, a study released today calculates. If only one adult works, that figure falls to $53,075, largely because the family doesn't have to pay for child care, according to the report by the California Budget Project, a liberal Sacramento research group. But that one wage-earner must make $25.52 an hour.

I may have to check my math, but based on this report, I need to find a woman who makes $74,559 before I can have two kids. Or I can quit my job and find someone who makes $53,075.

I think it would be cool to be a stay-at-home dad, kind of like Bernie Mac on his show. I'm pretty good with kids. I can cook and clean if I feel like it. I can coach youth soccer. But most importantly, I don't like going to work.
Besides, aren't women always trying to move up in the workplace and get equal rights or equal pay or the right to equal pay? I'm willing to help the cause and step aside so females can step up. And if any of you working females fall into the $53,075+ range, send me a photo and a list of your likes and dislikes.
