It's the Chinese New Year. It's the year of the dog, so it might be a real bitchin' year.

For those who don't know about the legend of Chinese zodiac and how all the year of the animals thing works, here's a short primer:
There were twelve animals and the order of the years would be determined by how they finished in a race across some river or something. The rat was able to finish first because he had hitched on the ox's back and then jumped off to beat him at the end. So the order was rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, ram, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig.

I don't think much of this is true, but I do have a few questions about this zodiac:
First one being how on earth did the dragon not win? The dragon had to be at least a 3/2 favorite going in to the race.
Did this rabbit make the same mistake as his cousin the hare did and give away the lead while taking a nap?
How does the snake, with no legs, beat six other creatures with a combined 20 legs?

Gung Hay Fat Choy.
