The Spanish word for cow is vaca. When I introduce myself to a lot of the Mexican/Hispanic kids, I tell them my name is Calvin, rather than just Cal which is what most of the kids call me. That's because when most of these kids say Cal, it sounds like cow. Then they have to ask 'cow like moo?' and I always end up spelling C-A-L for them. And I think it was a kid named Chris who started calling me 'vaca' and a few other Mexican kids occasionally do. I don't respond very often to it. My co-worker thinks it's hilarous.
