On Monday, our golfing group from church played in a Norman Lau sponsored tournament at the Sunnyvale Municipal Golf Course. We used some crazy handicapping system that gave some competitors as many as 75 strokes, but since I got 39 strokes I guess I can't really complain. I scored 110 and finished in third place. Brian, using superior equipment, beat us all easily. I probably should have done better, but I wasted too much energy laughing at the rest of my group, consisting of Pat and Wayne. I had a lot of fun playing.

Observation from our golf tournament:

I did not lose to Fanny. Fanny did beat Pat. Brian and Pat (mostly Brian) beat me and Wayne for dinner.

Wayne hit water 3 times on one hole. He might have hit 3 trees on another hole. Pat hit a metal box, a tree, and his golf bag all on one hole. I hit a ball that almost hit the moon. It went 150 yards up in the air and landed 40 yards from the teebox.

Golfers in Sunnyvale like to steal other people's golf balls.

The Norman Lau Tour, unlike the NBA draft lottery, in not rigged as evidenced by Norm's score.

Playing in the next fairway over is the best way to cheat. (note: I did not do this)
