At 5824, we have been watching the Eco-Challenge:Fiji, the World's Toughest Endurance Race on USA (will be on Wed at 10pm, 2 hour finale on Thurs starting at 9pm, with encore presentations at midnight, same producer of Survivor). The Eco-Challenge is a 300+ mile race through forests, rivers, mountains, cliffs, and whatever natural terrain God decided to create. People are trying to find their way through the forest in the dark, competitors are getting bitten by strange animals, they have to build their own rafts out of bamboo to get down a river, people are throwing up and getting sick, all kinds of crazy stuff. There's a couple of hard-core teams, but there's also the token celebrity teams, including the Playboy team, and a team with Anakin Skywalker (the force is not with him, as his team is about 3 days behind everyone else).

We want to get a team to compete in a future Eco-Challenge. Teams of 4 must be comprised of men and women. The whole team must finish together. That means if someone breaks a leg and can't continue, the team is disqualified. I have decided that our team willl treat all injuries by taping it up and moving on. We will amputate an arm if necessary. We are looking for 2 key pieces of the 5824 team: a financial sponsor and a female team member. All females interested are encouraged to apply.
