Unlike some of my other Asian friends, I have not been mistaken for another race very often. Officially, when people ask me, I am half Chinese, half Black, and half Jewish. That means I can take time off from work to celebrate Chinese New Year, Kwanzaa and Rosh Hashanah. I'm checking my family tree to see if anyone was born in Mexico so I can add Cinco de Mayo to my calendar.
