Bay Area Rescue Mission Golf Tournament Report
It was a scramble format, where all team members hit a shot, we pick the best shot and all of us hit our next shot from there. My team consisted of 2 co-workers, Sherwin and Dave, and a guy named Roger. I used to play with Sherwin, but he started playing too much and got too good. Dave doesn't play very often or very well, but he's fun to be around. Roger hit decent drives and putts well. I couldn't hit my woods or putt worth crap, but my irons were hitting better than they had been in a long time.
Here's how we did: par, par, bogey, par, birdie, par, par, par, par, par, par, par, birdie, bogey, par, par, par, par. Even par 72. The winning team shot a 64. We finished among the top third of all the teams there.
Thanks again to all who sponsored me in this event. We had a great time and the money raised will go toward upgrading the women and family shelter. (I think last year's tournament money went to the men's shelter.)
