I've eaten some form of instant noodles each day for the last three days (no cheapo Top Ramen at least). Why? Let me explain.
Have any of you ever seen the movie An Officer and a Gentleman, starring Richard Gere and Louis Gossett Jr.? Richard is in some military training camp, but he keeps getting in trouble with Gossett. One day, Gossett is ready to expel Richard from the program, and Gere breaks down and starts to cry: "I've got nowhere else to go...I've got nowhere else to go..." It's very dramatic, and he stays and starts doing much better and they become buddies and everyone gets the happy ending.
And then there this Buddy Lee jeans commercial (click on the Find Out Now picture, then click Take the Test, then watch the Hall of Mirrors commercial). The over-the-top acting and the "I've got nowhere else to go" line make this one of my favorite commercials. (I also really like the Coors Light commercial where they party on top of the mountain in the snow even though I never drink beer.)
As to why I've been eating instant noodles all the time.....(very serious look, tears streaming down face) I'VE GOT NOTHING ELSE TO EAT!! (still crying....) I'VE GOT NOTHING ELSE TO EAT.....
I believe I feel the symptoms of Safeway-Club-Card-itis coming on today.
